Valentine’s Day was a day for lovers.  But since crime never takes a holiday, it was a day for robberies too.

Around 9:30 on the evening of Febuary 14th Amarillo Police were dispatched to the Toot ‘n Totum at 211 South Western on a report of a robbery. Upon arrival employees told police they had just been robbed at gunpoint.

During the investigation the authorities learned the suspect entered the store while employees were helping out a law abiding customer.  That’s when the suspect pulled a knife and got behind the counter, holding a plastic sack.  He ordered the employees to fill it with cigarettes and money.  They did and the suspect fled the scene.

There were no injuries and the amount of cash and number of packs of smokes he made off with were not disclosed.

Police are looking for a male, around 6 feet tall, 160 pounds, wearing a gray hoodie, a white masking bandana, blue jeans, with gray shoes.  Other than police being fairly certain the suspect is a smoker, they have few other clues.
