Amarillo Teens Are Pretty Much Done With Facebook

It use to be the social media network all teens used. But now they have turn their focus to somewhere else.

Pretty much only older folks are still using Facebook for their source of social media. This is coming from research by the Pew Research Center. Basically they have discovered that teenagers are basically done with Facebook. Their study states that 51% of them say they still use Facebook.

This is a huge drop from just three years ago. In 2015 it was reported that 71% of teens said that they use Facebook.

So what are they using instead? Youtube is making a big jump. Especially with Social Media stars like Logan Paul getting all the attention this past year. Also shows and programming available with Youtube Red as made the platform a little bit more appealing.

Two others that have really made an impact this year are Snapchat and Instagram. They have a lot of fun filters which Facebook was late to the party with.
