Bear Grylls Fired From ‘Man Vs. Wild’ By Discovery Channel
Looks like the hugely successful might be coming to an end. The Discovery Channel has reportedly fired Bear Grylls from the show 'Man VS Wild'.
The Discovery Channel terminated the contract with Bear after he refused to show up for contractual obligations.
“Due to a continuing contractual dispute with Bear Grylls, Discovery has terminated all current productions with him,” a network spokesperson tells The Hollywood Reporter.
Grylls has written multiple books and really capitalized on his fame that the show has brought him. He is the spokesman for Dockers and Degree deodorant as well as having his own iPhone app.
He has had shows with cameos from such stars as Jake Gyllenhaal, Will Ferrell and Ben Stiller. The show has been wildly popular with over 1.1 million viewers last season.
