We have had several food trucks in Amarillo that went from being a food truck and then decided to make the move to a full-fledged restaurant. We have never had a bus do the same thing. Until now.

In fact, the one and only food truck/bus Dillo's Burger Bus has made the announcement that they are moving up. One owner, Tyler Rannals, is getting to see his dream move to a bigger level. He is also thrilled to give his bus a little break. The one thing about having an actual vehicle as your place of business is the maintenance.

He doesn't just haul the vehicle to his location like most food trucks can have the luxury. No, it's a bus that he drives. That can add other headaches. Sometimes it needs some work done to it. So having a restaurant location can be great because it can give the bus a little rest.

It can give Tyler some time to get some needed maintenance done and ready to get on the road for events. That is exactly what is going to happen. As Tyler was able to make the announcement that they have a storefront.

They are not just going anywhere. No, they are headed to Sixth Street. They are taking over the old Cowboy Gelato location. This is good news. Tyler will be able to bring his great burgers to a permanent location. We will always know where to find them.

So keep an eye out on Sixth Street as Dillo's will be moving into the neighborhood. If you haven't tried them yet you will have a great reason to give them a try. You can welcome them to the neighborhood.
