So we have been getting a lot of snow these past couple of days, and it looks like we are in for some more in the coming week. Most people, if they can help it, try not to go outside when the weather is like this. I sure don't like to go outside. I think it has to do with my clothes getting wet, especially my socks, and it also makes it pointless for me to have even fixed my hair. The wind and the snow just mess it all up.

But besides the personal issues I'm sure we all have with snow there is also the issue of boredom. How can you not be bored when you are stuck inside because of the snow? Well here are five things you can do to help you out of your boredom.

1.) Watch Your Favorite Movie.

We all have that one movie that we just love to watch. And we could watch it 100 times and we still love it. We could probably watch it two or three times in a row and its still won't get old. Well get that movie out and watch it. Watch it with your friend, loved ones, roommate, or even your neighbor. Just have a nice movie day. Eat some popcorn and snacks. A nice cup of hot chocolate and your set for a wonderful day.

2.) Play A Game.

Don't want to watch a movie, or ran out of movies to watch? Play a game. If you have a tablet you can download boardgames and card games to play. You can play a game by yourself if you are alone, or you can play with the people around you. Monopoly may test friendships, but its also a long game that can help to pass the time and cause some laughter along the way. Only have a deck of cards? That's okay because there are tons of games you can play with cards. All in all there are a plethora of games you can play to pass the time while stuck inside.

3.) Reorganize You Stuff.

I know that through my busy schedule the stuff around my house gets stacked up and I will just keep piling until I can't take it anymore. Well now is the time to get started on that long list of chores you have been meaning to do, but just haven't had a chance to get around to. Reorganizing and cleaning up can help to pass the time plus you have the added bonus (if you are like me and forget what you put where) of finding things you thought you lost or didn't even remember having. I try to be organized, but it just never really works out. Days like today are my chance, and yours, at getting more organized.

4.) Try A New Recipe

As I stated earlier, it's snowing!! So why not try out a new recipe. Got a good recipe on a soup or maybe a chilli? Why not try it out today! It's cold out and you need something tasty and warm to keep the chill away so go ahead and try that new recipe. I'm not a good cook, I'm more of the baking type, but today is my chance to try and make a meal from that cookbook my mom made for me. If you don't have a cookbook or any ideas on a recipe but you still want to cook, well that's okay, there are many great websites out there that have fun and creative recipes just waiting for you to try them.

5.) When All Else Fails, Go Outside!

I know what I said earlier about not wanting to get my clothes wet, but..... if it's for the sake of fun then I will most certainly be getting wet. Go outside and make a snow angel. Build a snowman. Don't worry you don't have to sing that song about building a snowman, I won't be. If you want to be more creative than just building a snowman then build a snow village. Or an igloo. Or if you are really adventurous and crafty then build a snow shark. (P.S. If you build a snow shark send me a picture, because I want to see that!)

Whatever it is you decide to do while stuck inside make it fun. You can make organizing fun, you can make fun of the movie you watch, you can make fun of your friend trying to build a snow shark (seriously though I need a picture!), or you can make fun of yourself for not being good at monopoly. Just have fun and make the best of the days like today.
