SPRING is on its way and we are all loving it!

All our animals are able to spend more time outside enjoying the warmth and fresh air. Just remember it is also the beginning of flea and tick season and allergies. Dogs and cats can have allergies to so many things, most which will not require medication, but if your pet begins showing signs that do not go away within 24 hours you will need to check with your veterinarian. Signs of allergies is constant sneezing, watery eyes, swelling of the face and sometimes their whole body, sometimes even a skin rash. Just keep an eye on your guys, remember it is seasonal, from grass to weeds to insecticides that we might be putting on our lawns. Be sure to read all labels to make sure what you decide to use is safe for your pets as well as everyone in your household.

There are many products out there for fleas and ticks, the best products I believe are the ones you purchase from your veterinarian. This is a product used monthly and not only takes care of the fleas and ticks but their eggs, it will also take care of several types of worms that your pets can get. Check with your veterinarian, they will guide you to the best product out there for your pet.
