A new survey by Abodo reveals that 63% of people would choose their pet over their significant other if they had to. Read on for other findings.

I know that my cat is king of my household.  I'm glad I'm not the only one in that situation.

• 89% of people would save their pet in a fire over a priceless family heirloom
• 85% of people would stave for a day so their pet could eat
• 78% of people would give up their favorite food forever if it meant their pet could live forever
• 54% of people would give up the Internet forever to keep their pet
• 58% of people would rather live with their pet in a shack than alone in a dream house.
• 51% of people would rather eat a person instead of a pet
• 32% of people would kill a person to save their pet
• 25% of people would lose an arm so their pet could walk
• 43% of people would jump into boiling water to save their pet
• 23% of people would give up their own life for their pet
