You are looking to save some money. Oh, and buying in bulk is a way to do that. It's time to Run to Sam's to get toilet paper, paper towels or laundry detergent.

There are a few items you should not buy in bulk.

If you are shopping for a lot of people than fine. For the most part you should not buy some items.

Spices. Most of those spices will only stay fresh for about 2 to 3 years. So unless you do a LOT of cooking or for a lot of people one of those containers will go bad before you use it up.

Coffee. Now here is the thing about coffee, it won't go bad but it will lose some of its flavor and aroma. So just be prepared to know it just won't be as good.

Flour. It only lasts about 18 months on the shelf since it tends to attract and retain moisture. Don't end up buying too much of it. You will know that it is going bad because it will seem thicker than normal. Oh and if it smells? Yes, throw it out!

Nuts. They tend to have natural oils that can go really bad or grow mold. So don't buy in bulk. Even if you can eat an entire bucket of it. Yeah, don't because nuts have a lot of calories so not a good idea.

Condiments. Here is the thing most of us don't put a ton of them on our food. Not enough to warrant buying a huge bottle anyway. There is a pretty good chance that mustard will go bad before you can use it all up.
