If you want to star gaze you have to get away from all the light pollution.

Lake Meredith is not bad in this regard.  The cover of the foot hills provides one of the better vantage points in the panhandle to take in a night full of our wide open sky.

The night of star gazing will cap off a day full of activities including time on the lake and in the nearby quarries.

On August 12, day activities begin at 9:30 in the morning.  The star gazing begins at 9:30 at the Fritch Fortress Amphitheater.
