The new Bruce Springsteen album will have social overtones, and will include “new textures and styles.” Rolling Stone reports that the rocker is nearly ready to unveil his 17th studio album and tour dates with the E Street Band. Information about the new single, “We Take Care of Our Own,’ has also been revealed.

Guns N’ Roses have hinted in recent months that the next album from the band won’t take nearly as long to make as their last release, the long-long-delayed ‘Chinese Democracy.’ In fact, finishing a new record has become their “main priority” these days.

Bob Seger has announced plans to release a new studio album, and to support that record with a tour. “I will write from January 1 through March 31. I will finish the next record and right now, yes, I will tour with the next record,” Seger tells Ultimate Classic Rock.

Kiss are turning back the clock for the recording of their new album, ‘Monster,’ which should be out by the summer of 2012. The band is bucking the trend of using digital recording gear, opting instead for the retro experience of old analog equipment and a stripped-down approach. In other words, don’t expect any outside writers, extra keyboards or superfluous children’s choruses this time around.
