We all like a good deal. We like to find treasures. Garage sales are huge in this area. If we can also help out a great cause it's even an even bigger deal. That makes me finding this post on Facebook yesterday even more exciting.
One of the nice things about going to bigger cities is the choices you can find. So many places to shop. So many places to eat. Plenty of places to drink. Amarillo is definitely moving on up.
It's been a long few months and nobody knows it more that people who frequent the Chick-fil-A on Coulter. It's been a few months since they announced their closing for a remodel. It's something that they knew was the perfect time for it o happen.
I think it's hard enough when we are really craving Chick-fil-A and then you realize that it is Sunday--they're closed and now your dreams are squashed. It happens a lot for me. So when I saw this news I wanted to make sure you were not blindsided.
If you live near the Chick-fi-A on Coulter and you noticed that last couple of days that they seem to be keeping different hours you are not alone. Yes, you can still get your favorite chicken at that location. You will just have to make your final purchases a little earlier in the day.
It was about this time last year when the whole chicken sandwich war started. I think competition is good. The more good restaurants we get of any kind just gives us more choices and ups the battle for the best.
I forgot about that until I drove into work the next morning. Yep, it looked like I could have possibly gone swimming down 34th, if I wanted to. Pulling into the radio station parking lot I was a little concerned about my car making it through all the water. It was a water main that busted. It's a week later and they are in the middle of repairing it. Parts of 34th closer to Coulter is down to one lane.
