A while back we reported on a very cool 'Back to the Future' LEGO set concept, where fans submit their ideas for new LEGO sets in hopes of seeing those sets become reality. And the results are in -- the 'Back to the Future' LEGO set has been approved and is coming next year!
Although it's something we've never wondered ourselves, engineers at Open University in the UK recently discovered how high a LEGO tower can go before the bricks at the bottom are crushed under the weight. Here's a hint -- it's pretty darn high.
Using only Legos and rubber bands, Jack Streat was able to build a fully-functional replica of a Heckler & Koch UMP 45 sub machine gun.
This is far from the only time Streat has fashioned a potentially dangerous thing out of Legos; he was able to build a working chainsaw out of the construction toys, and has a Youtube channel full of videos of other Lego weapons he has assembled.
