Since releasing ‘King Animal’ back in November of 2012, Soundgarden have been busy, but not too busy to visit outer space for their new video. Their latest work is the cosmic clip for the album's third single ‘Halfway There.’

On Nov. 13, Soundgarden will release 'King Animal,' their sixth studio album. The first single and opening track, the aptly titled 'Been Away Too Long,' will be available digitally on Sept. 27.

The moment that Soundgarden fans have been waiting for is quickly approaching. The reunited rockers took the next step to releasing their first music since 1996 by announcing that their next album will be titled ‘King Animal.’

The long-awaited Soundgarden reunion album now has a release date. Fans waiting to hear the group’s first new album in a decade and a half can now mark Nov. 13 on their calendars.

Although they were reared on a steady diet that included exposure to bands like Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin, they took issue with certain elements of the songs, bands and sounds that were popular at the time. Soundgarden guitarist Kim Thayil once said that the band’s mission included the goal of sounding like “Black Sabbath without the parts that suck.”

Soundgarden lead singer Chris Cornell says the band’s first album in 16 years will stay true to the sound the band had crafted in the 13 years previous to ‘Down on the Upside.’ The untitled effort is expected to be available in 2012.
