Amarillo Crime Stoppers again has raised the reward for this week’s “Fugitive of the Week,” Matthew Dillon Jones, according to an Amarillo Police Department news release. Jones is believed to still be in the Amarillo area and is considered armed and dangerous.

According to the Amarillo Police Department, on May 22nd at about 1:50 p.m., officers were sent to 3611 NE 17th Avenue on a reported cardiac call. Upon arrival, officers found a deceased person at the residence. The Medical Examiner ruled the death a homicide.

The deceased person was identified as 24-year-old Kennee Allynn Griffing. The 47th District Attorney's Office issued a murder warrant for Matthew Dillon Jones on Thursday May 30th

Information on Jones’ location could be worth as much as $3,500, according to the APD release.

According to the APD release:

Matthew Dillon Jones, 24, is described as a white man, 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighing 130 pounds. He has brown eyes and brown hair.

Jones is wanted by the Potter County Sheriff’s Office on a charge of murder.

Jones also is wanted out of Randall County on a charge of bond surrenders for robbery and theft of a firearm.
