A man is recovering in Lubbock after being stuck all night in an Amarillo concrete wash pit.

Yesterday afternoon a worker at Golden Spread Redi-Mix in North Amarillo saw something moving in a concrete wash pit.  It turned out to be a 59-year-old man.

It took first responders around 10 minutes to free the man who was covered in mud and wet concrete.  The man claimed to have been stuck there overnight.

Due to the high ph level of the concrete the man sustained severe acid burns and was taken to a Lubbock burn center for treatment.  He is listed in stable condition.

His name was not released.
