Discovery Center to Host Noon Year’s Eve to Ring in the New Year
When you have little ones, it is hard to keep them awake long enough to ring in the New Year. However, the Don Harrington Discovery Center has a way that the kids can celebrate with their very own New Year's Eve party without having to stay awake until midnight.
Not only that, the parents can come out and celebrate with their kids and then make adult plans for that evening.
WHAT: Noon Year's Eve
WHERE: Discovery Center 1200 Streit Dr
WHEN: Saturday, December 31st, 11-1pm
COST: Members $2, Non-Members $2 plus regular admission.
Fun activities include:
Science demos
Crafts that include New Year's Hats and noise makers
Karaoke
A ginger ale toast to the new year and cookies
and all the fun exhibits that are at the Discovery Center.
Then just before noon, the kids will get to countdown to the balloon drop. Each balloon contains prizes. Not only that, there will be a special balloon drop for the younger kids and one for the older kids.
