Progressive Insurance asked 1,700 people about their biggest driving pet peeves. Talking on the phone and tailgating topped the list at 13% followed by not using turn signals (11%), lane-cutting (10%) and weaving in and out of traffic (8%). Other findings:

- 47% of people say loud passengers are more distracting than their cell phones.

- 73% of people did not know that the correct hand placement on a steering wheel is 10 and three o'clock.

- 82% of motorists have had at least one "close call" in the past year.

Here are some more driver's pet peeves.  (The closer the number is to 10, the bigger the pet peeve):

1. Able-bodied drivers parking in handicapped spaces: 8.7
2. Tailgaters: 8.4
3. Drivers who cut you off: 8.3
4. Speeding and swerving in and out of traffic: 8.2
5. Taking up two parking spaces: 7.7
6. Not letting you merge into a lane: 7.6
7. Not dimming high beams when approaching: 7.6
8. Not using turn signals: 7.5
9. Slow drivers dawdling in the passing lane: 7.3
10. Jaywalkers stepping in front of your car: 7.3
11. Excessive horn honking: 7.1
12. Slowing down to “rubberneck” at accidents: 7.0
13. Not turning on headlights when it’s raining or at dusk: 6.8
14. Drivers who are indecisive about when to turn: 6.6
15. Slow drivers on a two-lane road who won’t pull over: 6.5
16. Not going when the light turns green: 6.1
17. Bicyclists who don’t let you by: 5.8
