Florida Teen In Good Spirits After Losing Arm In Alligator Attack

Florida Fish and Wildlife hunted down and killed an alligator that attacked a teenager. The alligator was found with the teenagers arm still inside.

Unfortunately they hospital could not re-attach the teens arm. 17-year-old Kaleb Langdale is in fairly good spirits considering his recent confrontation with the 10 foot alligator.

Langdale was swimming in Caloosahatchee River when the attack took place. He has been around alligators his whole life and was smart enough to offer his arm, so the alligator did not attack his torso.

"He knew once it grabbed his arm, he was going to lose it," his sister told The News-Press.com. "So he put both feet on the alligator’s head and pushed and pretty much took his own arm off before the alligator could."
