So this morning before coming in to my internship I decided that it was time to hook my phone up to my laptop and connect it to iTunes. You know, backup all my photos and music. I was also going to download some ringtones. Low and behold, iTunes wasn’t working for me. I thought it was just my account, or that there was something wrong with my computer. I then tried to get on iTunes with my phone, that didn’t work either.

The next step? I thought about contacting Apple Support, but then I thought, “Nah.” just check the internet first. So that is what I did. I looked for the first reliable blog post and read what was going on in the world of Apple. The blog post was posted six hours ago, so that means that this problem existed hours before I even found out about it. You would think that Apple would send out an email to all of their customers to let them know that there is a problem.

Of all the days that I wanted to sync my iPhone to iTunes, it had to be the day that iTunes is down. I tried to sync at around 9:00 this morning and now nearly two hours later it still isn’t working. I also still haven’t received any type of news from Apple about the problem or when it will hopefully be fixed. I just want to download new ringtones!!! And update my music, but I can’t because it doesn’t work!

What is going on! I just want to know what’s wrong with iTunes, and if it is going to be fixed today. What if I want to buy some music, or a movie? How am I supposed to give Apple my money if nothing is working!!!

Just tried again, still doesn’t work. I don’t want to seem impatient, but I keep checking often. Hopefully this will get fixed, soon. But I won’t hold my breath for when it is fixed, or else I might die from lack of oxygen.

I have looked to see what other places are having the same problems. It’s not just the US. There are people in the UK, Australia, Malaysia, Korea, Iceland, the Netherlands, Switzerland, and many other countries that are having the same issues. Why haven’t they sent out information about what is going on. I have even been checking the Apple website to information.

Nothing, not even on neither the app store twitter page nor the iTunes music twitter page has anything on iTunes being down. The only thing that I have found that states that iTunes, the App Store, iBooks Store, and Mac App Store is down is a link that was in a comment section on the Apple website.

I mean it’s nice to know that Apple knows there is something wrong but is it that hard to send out an email to let their customer know what going on? I mean we give them a lot of our money to get these services. Shouldn’t we be told about things not working, not just have us all figure it out on our own?
