Tattoo artist and entrepreneur Kat Von D has spoken out about an alleged anti-Semitic message that’s made the rounds for a decade. Along with denying she wrote the message, Von D also denies being an anti-vaxxer, clarifying her intension behind raising vaccination-free child.

During her time on the TV show Miami Ink, a photo of a message reading, “Burn in Hell Jewbag xoxo” with a burning Star of David and Kat Von D’s signature was passed around the internet.

“Just to set the record straight from the beginning, I am not anti-Semitic and I am not an anti-vaxxer,” Von D says in a new YouTube video. She describes one of her Miami Ink cast mates being paranoid that Von D’s new show, LA Ink, would replace the east coast show, leaving him out of a job.

According to Kat, the individual presented one of Von D’s 8x10 photos with a forged anti-Semitic message to the TLC Network. “The man who treated me so terribly on set took this 8x10 and threatened the network, saying that if they don’t cancel LA Ink that he would go to all these different media outlets and release the 8x10 with the forged message on it. The network, of course, could tell that it wasn’t my handwriting, and so they decided to continue filming.”

Kat Von D also claims the individual grabbed her breasts on one occasion, said “repulsive” things Von D can’t repeat and sent her a photo of his penis.

As for her stance on vaccinations, Von D says, “I am not an anti-vaxxer, what I am is a first-time mother. We have decided as parents to consult with our pediatrician and just let him educate us and guide us. I am choosing not to make our decision, or any of our baby’s health records, public.”

The artist also encouraged her followers not to spread any negativity or hate and that karma will instead do its job.
