Things keep changing in Amarillo. That is not necessarily a bad thing. We look for other successful ways to make things work. If they work then good. If they don't well that is when we hear about places closing.

I was out over the weekend and made a stop at The Lost Cajun. I end up there a couple of times a week. So how this was the first time I noticed this I am not sure. They are on the move. They are not closing. Well, the location that they are in now is closing. Oh, but they will end up in a new location and very soon.

The Lost Cajun is Moving?

In fact, according to the sign at The Lost Cajun, they are moving this week. This move will also change their hours of operation. Oh, but it makes a lot of sense. The Lost Cajun is moving into the same location as Ye Olde Pancake Station - 2800 Virginia Circle.

I was talking with the staff to see how this was going to work. Ye Olde Pancake Station is open from 6 am (7 am on Sundays) until 2 pm. That is when they will have a couple of hours closed. The Lost Cajun will open up every day starting at 4 pm.

What will change is the fact that The Lost Cajun will no longer be open for lunch. This move does make sense because Mike Fogiel is the owner of both restaurants. Now Ye Olde Pancake Station will not sit empty for half of the day.

A really smart move. A way to cut costs plus the crowd at The Pancake Station may be introduced to a new place to eat. They can get their breakfast food and come back for their fill of Cajun food too.

If you are looking for The Lost Cajun anytime after Tuesday you just have to drive a short distance to find them at the same location as Ye Olde Pancake Station.
