John C. Hughes of Butte, Mont. has been arrested after a lengthy police chase. Hughes hit speeds higher than 100 MPH before police were able to stop him. When asked why, he said "I've always wanted to do that."

Hughes, 55, was eventually stopped by police using 'stop sticks' to deflate the tires and immobilize the vehicle. He now faces misdemeanor charges of wreck-less driving and evading police.

Reports state that after a thorough search, no drugs or alcohol were found in the vehicle and Hughes was not intoxicated.

"That's the first time I've ever heard of anything like that," Sheriff John Walsh told the Standard.
