Party City Opening Location In Amarillo

The signs are up and it's confirmed, Party City is coming to Amarillo. Until now, the closest Party City location was in Lubbock, although Amarillo has had other party stores. In fact, the spot the new Party City will occupy is a familiar location for balloons, party materials, and cards. Party City is moving into the former Card and Party Factory at 3339 Bell Street, at the corner of 34th and Bell.

An official store opening date has not been announced, however, career opportunities for the new store were posted online at the beginning of May 2019. Halloween will be here before we know it, and Halloween holiday sales equate for a large portion of the company's bottom line.

You may remember, Party City was in the national spotlight just recently for announcing the closure of 45 stores across the country. They attributed the closures due to a global shortage of helium. The shortage has caused prices of the gas to go up and thus the store's balloon costs rising (no pun intended). It is interesting to note that Amarillo is known as the Helium Capital of the world with the largest helium reserve right here.
