The dominos are starting to fall into place as Smashing Pumpkins near the release of their 'Monuments to an Elegy' album. Another new song from the disc has arrived online, while Billy Corgan has also filled out his live band so that he can support the upcoming disc.

Corgan has revealed that Rage Against the Machine drummer Brad Wilk and The Killers bassist Mark Stoermer will be part of the band, joining Corgan and Pumpkins guitarist Jeff Schroeder for their upcoming December dates.

"We're absolutely thrilled and humbled to have Brad and Mark helping us out with these shows,” said Corgan. “And if our rehearsals are any indication they should be one-of-a-kind."

The shows will include intimate dates in Europe, plus a Dec. 8 show at New York's Webster Hall and the band's Los Angeles performances on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' Dec. 10 as well as the KROQ Almost Acoustic Christmas radio festival on Dec. 14. The dates come in coordination with the Dec. 9 release of the 'Monuments to an Elegy' album. The disc featured Motley Crue's Tommy Lee handling drum duties, but Lee was not available for the tour. The band also noted that additional shows will be announced shortly.

In other Smashing Pumpkins news, as mentioned the band just released another song from 'Monuments to an Elegy.' The track is called 'Tiberius' and it can be heard in the player above. It has a wall of a guitar sound with an ebbing momentum and definitely lies on the heavier side of the Pumpkins spectrum.

If you like the track, it's available with the previously released 'Being Beige' and 'One and All' as part of a three-track sampler at independent record stores. To see which stores are stocking the sampler, check here. You can also pre-order 'Monuments to an Elegy' at both Amazon and iTunes.
