Get ready to welcome back Sum 41. The band is ramping up to the release of their next studio album and they've teamed up with PledgeMusic to help get the disc to the people, with some fun extra incentives added in for good measure.

The band's return to music comes after a scary 2014 incident in which frontman Deryck Whibley was briefly in a coma and left frail after his liver and kidneys collapsed. After embracing sobriety, the vocalist began to get back into playing music again last year.

During the next few months, the band will pre-sell their first new studio album in five years to their fans via the PledgeMusic site. Over the course of this period, fans will have access to special bonus content, stories and updates on the making of the disc. And one of the top-tiered packages for the new disc includes a period where fans can come to the studio as the band records new music.

"Words can't describe how good it feels to be back, so I'll just let the music do that instead. Sum 41 is back -- stronger and more excited than we have been in a long time. We're really proud of these songs and we want to make sure our fans know it's coming," says Whibley. "It's time to make a f--king great record! Thanks to all the fans! Your support has always been a blessing. We love you for it, and we can't wait to get back to your country, you city, your town, or even your backyard to come play a rock show! See you all soon."

As stated, fans can put go to the PledgeMusic site where they'll be able to pre-order the disc, but also add several cool incentives for a little bit more should they wish. The top priced package gives fans a chance to join the band in the studio for a couple of hours during recording. Other options include phone calls with band members, Skype guitar lessons and signed items like drum heads and lyric sheets. Venture over to the PledgeMusic site just to check it all out.

Sum 41 are set to perform at the second annual Alternative Press Music Awards on July 22 at the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio.
