If you are a pet owner in Borger, this is news you need to know. According to a press release posted on the City of Borger's Facebook page, there is a confirmed case of rabies leading to a quarantine.

According to the Facebook post, the quarantine came into effect as a skunk was displaying rabies-like symptoms. The skunk was sent for testing.

The test came back yesterday confirming a case of rabies in the area, prompting the quarantine.

The quarantine will last for 180 days, and officials will be setting traps. If you are a pet owner, you'll want to keep careful watch on your pet.

Also, make sure they are up to date on their vaccinations.
