Researchers asked 5,541 singles to list their relationship deal-breakers. The group published their findings in the Personality and Social Psychology Bulletin.

Here's a list of the most common deal-breakers:

  • Too needy 63%
  • Lacks sense of humor 54%
  • Bad lovemaking 47%
  • Lacks self-confidence 40%
  • Too much TV and video games 33%
  • Low sex drive 33%
  • Talks too much 23%
  • Too quiet 14%
  • Has kids 13%

According to Cosmopolitan Magazine, there is no perfect soul-mate for everybody.  What may be a deal-breaker for some, may be a great plus for others.

Gregory Webster, an associate professor of psychology at University of Florida, says the problem with deal-breakers is that most often, the negatives seem to overwhelm the positives when it comes to relationships.
